list of frequently asked questions, if you need further clarification, please

your questions.
Why use Village Childcare?
With
many years nanny referral experience we can provide professional guidance
through the entire search process
. You will
benefit from exclusive access to a large pool of pre-screened Childcarers, all
of whom have been reference checked and enhanced CRB checks can also be provided
upon request.
What areas do you cover?
Village Childcare has a particular presence in London and across the Home
Counties however, we have Clients and
Candidates across the
country and many of our Candidates are prepared to relocate if the right
position presents itself, please contact
us for an up to date list of available Childcarers.
How many Nannies can I expect to interview?
We
save you time and hassle by pre-selecting and interviewing suitable applicants
before putting them forward to you, all reference checks and supporting evidence
is in place prior to you meeting the Candidate at interview. You can expect to
interview from three to five nannies.
We
are very confident in our ability to find and match suitable Candidates with
your individual needs, thus reducing the number of Candidates you will need to
interview.
How long will it take to hire a nanny?
The
entire process, can take from 1-6 weeks. This includes registration time,
reference and background checking, phone interview and one-to-one interview
through to the offer and acceptance of a placement. As soon as we receive your
registration forms, a selection of suitable applicants will be presented to you
and interviews will be arranged at your convenience. In some situations where we
have already made the necessary checks and the telephone interview stage has
already been completed, it is possible to find and hire a childcarer in as
little as 24 hours!
Are all your Childcare providers experienced?
All
Childcarers who register with Village Childcare are expected to have a solid
Childcare history, this can be as a qualified Childcare provider or as a
Childcare provider with relevant experience. We thoroughly vet all applicants
and references are taken up on your behalf (we also provide you with a list of
references and we do ask that you also follow these up).
How do you screen Candidates?
We
begin with a thorough interview. We then have the Candidates fill out extensive
paperwork answering a set of questions which are
designed to test ability and
experience,
aimed at providing us with information on how the Candidate would deal with
certain situations, testing their common sense reactions and enabling us to
detect any red flags.
We
need a temporary nanny to cover our permanent
nanny's
annual leave period, can you help?

Village Childcare provides permanent full-time, part-time, temporary and
emergency Childcare services. Call today and one of our friendly Consultants
will be on hand to create a
tailored
solution based on your individual circumstances.
What is your guarantee policy?
Although up to 90% of our clients employ their nannies beyond the first year, we
do feel that it is necessary to offer you and your family peace of mind in the
form of a guarantee in return for the placement fee charged. If for any reason
your Childcarers employment terminates within the first 4 weeks of employment,
you will receive one replacement Childcarer absolutely free of charge within a
predetermined timeframe.
Your fees seem very affordable, why are your fees significantly lower than other
agencies?
Village Childcare has built a successful business based on repeat business from
existing clients and through word of mouth referrals. We rely on our reputation
as the best form of advertising, saving us the big bills associated with media
advertising. We rely on good IT systems to connect our consultants avoiding the
need for large offices and costly bills. We pride ourselves on offering
modern Childcare Services based on good old traditional values and work ethics,
high on the list is the need to offer affordable childcare services to meet the
individual needs of all our client families.
I've
never had to pay taxes or national insurance contributions before, can you
help?
Yes,
Village Childcare can refer you to our partner agencies who offer payroll and
nanny tax services which are designed to remove the
headache
of managing the accounts related to the hiring of domestic staff.
Don't
be put off hiring domestic staff based on your concerns around statutory
contributions, if you would prefer to process the contribution requirements
yourself then we can certainly provide you with links to the necessary
government
organisations
who will assist you on such matters making it all very quick and easy.
